According some statistics (that I cannot detailed here, because I just heard it from a priest some time ago), priests talk outside what is due during the Mass for more than 50% of the time.
Now, even if these statistics are not well performed, everyone that is participating to an average liturgy can testify that the invasion of talkative priests is more than a (sad) reality. They talk and talk outside what the rite impose them to say.
