There isn't a day that goes by that I don't see posts on Facebook from various people sending messages to people who have recently or long since died: "you left too soon!", "no, I don't believe it", "just yesterday you complimented me on my concert."
Now, on the one hand I understand the desire to express one's condolences for people who are no longer with us, but on the other hand I think that Facebook is not the most appropriate place to address those who are no longer among us and that various commitments in the place where they are now prevent them from spending too much time on Facebook.
