I just yesterday discussed with friend and colleague the situation that NOvus Ordo brought pop sounds, pop vocal production, which BpAthanasius Schneider defined as “ trivialization”! It is what I meant: singing in mic is pop vocal production and inevitably bring alien style to Gregorian Chant! Thank you for podcast!

And what I thought of Synagogue cantering tradition to be root of Gregorian Chant - so happy Bp Schneider mentioned it!

So what is about very common mistake “ no vibrato” ? It was vibrato but not modern type of too far forward light vibrato, but deeper Vocal plateau. 1904 Recording, Msgr. Antonio Rella Sings Gregorian Chant During His Speech - YouTube
